Position Overview: SOS Moving LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman Driver to lead moving crews on residential and commercial moves. As a Foreman Driver, you will be responsible for managing the moving process from start to finish, ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining a safe working environment, and operating company vehicles. You will serve as the main point of contact between our customers and the moving team.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate 16-26 ft box trucks to transport household and office goods.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate moving crews during all phases of the move.
  • Perform residential and commercial moves including packing, loading, unloading, and unpacking items.
  • Conduct walk-throughs with customers at origin and destination locations to assess inventory and special handling needs.
  • Ensure the proper use of moving equipment and techniques to prevent damage to property and goods.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with customers and team members.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including contracts, inventory lists, and payment processing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck and moving equipment.
  • Train new team members in company procedures and safe moving practices.
  • Handle customer concerns or issues on-site promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in the moving industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading a team or managing a crew.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy furniture and boxes (up to 100 lbs).
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety procedures.
  • Punctual, reliable, and highly organized.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
