We offer three types of storage depending on your situation.

### Short-Term Storage

Ideal when you need to store belongings for a few days to a few weeks. Common scenarios include waiting for your new apartment keys, temporary relocation during home renovations, staging a home for sale, or bridging the gap between a lease ending and a new one starting. Short-term storage is billed on a flexible basis with no long-term commitment required. Many of our Los Angeles clients use short-term storage when their move-out and move-in dates do not align — a common situation in LA's competitive rental market.

### Long-Term Storage

For clients who need to store items for a month or more. This works well for seasonal furniture, business inventory, documents and files, or personal items that do not fit in your new space. Our long-term rates are designed to be affordable over extended periods. Your belongings stay protected in climate-controlled conditions for as long as you need — whether that is two months or two years. You can extend your storage period at any time without penalties.

### In-Transit Storage

Specifically designed for [long-distance moves](/services/long-distance-movers). If you are relocating from Los Angeles to another state but your new home is not ready yet, we can hold your items securely at our facility and deliver them to your final destination when the time comes. This eliminates the need to arrange separate storage at your destination. In-transit storage is especially popular with clients moving from LA to Portland, Seattle, Texas, or Florida — routes where there is often a gap between departure and arrival dates.

What You Can Store and Facility Details

Our storage facilities are climate-controlled, meaning temperature and humidity are maintained year-round. This protects wood furniture from warping, electronics from moisture damage, and fabrics from mold. All units are monitored and secured.

Items commonly stored with us include household furniture, mattresses and bed frames, appliances, electronics, boxes of personal belongings, documents and files, artwork, seasonal items and holiday decorations, business inventory, and office equipment.

There are some items we cannot accept for safety and regulatory reasons: flammable or corrosive materials, explosives, propane tanks, batteries, and items that attract pests or are susceptible to mold and mildew. We also do not store perishable food items or live plants. If you are unsure whether a specific item can be stored, ask us during your consultation — we are happy to advise.

We have multiple storage unit sizes available. The right size depends on your inventory — from a small unit for a few boxes and seasonal items to a large unit that can hold the contents of a multi-bedroom home. How Our Storage Service Works

Our storage process is designed to be simple and hands-off for you.

**Step 1 — Consultation.** Call 909-443-0004 or request a free estimate. Tell us what you need to store, how long you expect to need storage, and your timeline. We will recommend the right unit size and provide a clear quote.

**Step 2 — Pickup and Packing.** On the scheduled day, our crew arrives at your location with all necessary materials. We wrap and protect every item — furniture gets moving blankets, fragile items get shrink wrap and padding, clothes go into wardrobe boxes. Everything is inventoried before loading.

**Step 3 — Transport and Storage.** We load your items onto our truck and transport them to our secure, climate-controlled facility. Items are stored carefully to prevent shifting or damage during the storage period.

**Step 4 — Delivery.** When you are ready, call us and schedule a delivery date. Our crew retrieves your items from storage, transports them to your new location, and places everything where you want it — just like a standard move. "My office used SOS moving today and I was so impressed picking up files from storage. They were 10 minutes early to the warehouse 40 miles away, took time to wrap the pallets of boxes so nothing fell off, and worked hard and fast in the heat. "I just used SOS moving for a move and they were GREAT. Ilbert, Freddy, Juan, and Denis were so fast, professional, courteous, and easy to work with. They answered all of my questions and were super helpful. My items were in various stages of packed before they arrived--some were fully packed and some were not packed at all. They packed everything for me that I hadn't yet and moved everything. They also handled all my delicate items well too and super bubble wrapped my monitor so that it was safe when transporting.
