Your apartment moving cost depends on factors, such as the type and size of your property, the complexity of your move, the number of bedrooms, the volume of your items, zip code, etc. At SOS Moving, we offer flat and hourly rates. The hourly rate depends on the number of movers to be involved and the size of the moving truck. Flat rate is based on the volume of belongings you need to move, and it’s the best option for long-distance moves. To know your moving cost, please contact us or submit a form on our website to request your free quote.
You should schedule your move date as early as you can. If you’re moving locally, at least 1-2 weeks in advance, for long-distance moves, we recommend getting a quote at least 2-4 weeks before your move date.
You can choose any convenient day for your relocation, and yes, we can help you move on weekends and holidays.
A safe relocation is our goal, so we’ll provide you with a detailed list of items that are prohibited to transport. It includes perishables, hazardous materials, firearms, batteries, etc. We also don’t recommend packing your personal and irreplaceable items, including family heirlooms, family photos, jewelry, documents, etc. Carry them with you during the move.
We accept cash, all major debit and credit cards, and certified checks. We don’t accept personal checks. There will not apply any transaction fee on card transactions.
Yes, we’ll contact you prior to delivery. We’ll deliver your belongings within the given moving arrival window. In case the window is no longer possible, we’ll also contact you in advance and set another delivery time.
Eastvale, in the northwest corner of Riverside County, is one of the newest cities in California: it incorporated on October 1, 2010, as the county's 27th city. For well over a century this was farm and dairy country, its dairies run mostly by Dutch and Portuguese families, and suburban building only started in the late 1990s. By the early 2000s the dairies were giving way to housing tracts, shopping centers and schools, which is why a moving job here usually means a house.
The city's 2021–2029 Housing Element counts over 16,000 homes, mostly single-family, and the state Department of Finance put the population at just under 70,000 in January 2022. Set those numbers side by side and you get roughly four people per home. A household that size means more beds to take apart, more dressers and more boxes per room than the square footage suggests, so describe the whole household, garage included, when you ask for a quote.
Where the bedrooms are upstairs, the crew pads the stair rail, lays runners from the entry to the staircase and wraps door jambs along the carry path before the first dresser comes down. Bunk beds, cribs and big dining tables are taken apart in the room instead of being turned on a landing. If packing a four-person house sounds like a second job, our packing crews can take the kitchen, closets and garage.
In Eastvale, the sign that decides where a truck can stand on sweeping day may not be on your block at all. The city posts street-sweeping days and hours on a sign at the main entrance of each development, the times differ from one neighborhood to the next, and any vehicle parked on the street during the posted window can be cited under Municipal Code section 10.20.040.
The zoning code adds a rule about the truck itself. A vehicle with a manufacturer's weight rating over 10,000 pounds counts as a commercial vehicle here, and it may stand on a street, a private yard or a driveway only while it is actively being loaded or unloaded, with no overnight parking at all. A one-day move fits that rule: the truck pulls up, the crew loads, and the street is clear again once the last piece is strapped in.
So the parking plan starts at the development entrance, not at the curb. If your development has an HOA or a management company, its rules on move hours and truck parking apply on top of the city's. Before the move date, we ask you to send us:
From I-15, the Limonite Avenue exit puts the truck on an interchange rebuilt in 2019: an eight-lane bridge over the freeway, off-ramps widened from two lanes to four and two new loop on-ramps. Limonite itself carries four lanes each way between Wineville Avenue and Hamner Avenue, so a loaded truck gets wide turns, and homes on the east side of the city, nearest the freeway, are the shortest hop.
Several of the city's newer commercial projects line Hamner Avenue: the Goodman Commerce Center at Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road, Hamner Place at Schleisman Road and, at Limonite, the Leal property, which the city's Leal Master Plan lays out as a downtown with shops, offices, a hotel, housing and a civic center. Office and retail moves in these centers run under the property manager's rules on loading and insurance, the kind of planning our commercial moving crews do before the first desk is wrapped.
At its south end, Hamner crosses the Santa Ana River into Norco on the Mayor Berwin Hanna Bridge, a six-lane crossing that replaced an 85-year-old two-lane bridge in August 2024. For a move between Eastvale and Norco, that bridge is the direct way over the river.
On the west side, Archibald Avenue meets Limonite at another cluster of new projects, the Merge, the Campus and the Ranch, and the San Bernardino County line with Chino and Ontario is not far off. Moving in from across that line? Water and sewer here come from the Jurupa Community Services District rather than the city, trash from Waste Management, power from Southern California Edison and gas from SoCalGas. Open those accounts before move-in day so the house has water and lights when the crew carries in the first boxes.
| Eastvale address or home type | What to plan for on moving day |
|---|---|
| House inside a subdivision | Check the sweeping sign at the development's main entrance and keep the truck off the street during the posted days and hours. |
| Two-story home with a household of four or more | Stair rail padding, floor runners and jamb covers; beds and bunks taken apart upstairs. |
| East side, near Limonite Avenue and I-15 | Short approach off the rebuilt Limonite interchange, with four lanes each way between Wineville and Hamner. |
| Office or shop on Hamner Avenue | Property manager's loading rules, plus a COI ($50) if the landlord asks for one. |
| South end, moving to or from Norco | Cross the Santa Ana River on the six-lane Hamner Avenue bridge. |
SOS runs its moving services in Eastvale from the one base at 5530 Jillson Street in Los Angeles, and every crew starts its day there. The route runs SR-60 east, then I-15 south, about 42.2 miles and around 53 minutes without traffic. Because the address is more than 30 miles from the base, an Eastvale move has a 4-hour minimum instead of the usual 3 hours, and the rates page adds one line on travel: double drive time applies to moves over 10 miles.
Weekday rush hours can stretch that drive well past the no-traffic time. The city's own profile describes Eastvale as popular with commuters, set between I-15 and State Routes 91, 60 and 71 with jobs in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties within reach, and SR-60 and I-15 feel it at both ends of the workday. Crews work 8AM – 6PM, seven days a week, and a morning start leaves room for loading, the drive and unloading before the evening peak. Saturday and Sunday dates skip the weekday commute, though they fall under the Friday–Sunday rate: $135 cash or $145 card an hour for two movers and a truck, against $119 or $129 Monday through Thursday.
Eastvale is boxed in on every side: Chino and Ontario lie across the San Bernardino County line to the north and west, and Corona, Norco and Jurupa Valley sit on the Riverside County side to the south and east. For movers in Eastvale, that means a trip of a few streets can end in another city, and a trip north or west can end in another county.
To the north, Ontario begins where Eastvale ends, across the county line, so a move between the two can be a short local run; see our page on moving in Ontario. Corona borders Eastvale to the south and sits farther down I-15, the same freeway our trucks take to reach Eastvale, and Corona moves have their own page. For moves that reach farther across the region, the Inland Empire moving page covers the wider area.
