What we plan for on Koreatown streets

Planning a move out of Koreatown

Yes. Send us your property manager's requirements when you book, and we'll prepare the certificate of insurance before move day and plan the job around your reserved elevator time. SOS Moving is CPUC licensed and carries full liability coverage and workers' compensation.
Monday–Thursday during rush hours, the curb lane on Wilshire through Koreatown is reserved for buses, and Metro buses carry cameras that ticket vehicles parked in it. We plan the truck stop outside those windows, or around your building's loading area if it has one. Street parking in Koreatown is hard to find, especially in the evening, so share your building's access details when you book.
Rates start from $119/hr for two movers and a truck Monday–Thursday at the cash rate, and $135/hr Friday–Sunday. Stairs, long carries and multiple stops are included; a $30 gas fee applies, and the $50 deposit goes toward your total cost. Pianos add $200, and items heavier than 300 lbs add $150.
Same-day moves are available based on crew availability. Call 909-443-0004, Monday – Sunday, 8AM – 6PM, and mention whether your building needs an elevator reservation or a certificate of insurance, since those can decide how soon we can start.
Yes. Our long-distance service handles out-of-state and cross-country moves from Koreatown, and packing, storage and white glove handling can be added to the same move. Request a free estimate with both addresses and your move date.
Book as early as you can. Weekends and the end of the month fill up first, and long-distance moves need extra time for planning. For an urgent move, call us: same-day crews are often available.
You can choose any convenient day for your relocation, and yes, we can help you move on weekends and holidays.
A safe relocation is our goal, so we’ll provide you with a detailed list of items that are prohibited to transport. It includes perishables, hazardous materials, firearms, batteries, etc. We also don’t recommend packing your personal and irreplaceable items, including family heirlooms, family photos, jewelry, documents, etc. Carry them with you during the move.
We accept cash, all major debit and credit cards, and certified checks. We don’t accept personal checks. There will not apply any transaction fee on card transactions.
Yes, we’ll contact you prior to delivery. We’ll deliver your belongings within the given moving arrival window. In case the window is no longer possible, we’ll also contact you in advance and set another delivery time.
