Yes, once you add SOS Moving to your community's guest or vendor list before moving day. Associations set their own rules on entry, truck hours and parking, so check your CC&Rs or ask your management company and pass the details to us. We then schedule the crew's arrival to fit your association's move hours.
No. Stairs, long carries from wherever the truck can park and multiple stops are all part of the hourly rate. Charged on top are the $30 gas fee and specialty work — a piano is $200 and needs a four-mover crew, an item over 300 lbs is $150 — plus extras such as a certificate of insurance or an additional truck if your building or your move needs one.
SOS Moving adds a $200 piano specialty fee to the hourly rate for your move. Stairs and long carries on hillside properties are already included, so a flight of front steps doesn't raise that figure. When you book, tell us whether it's an upright or a grand and describe the path in and out so we can plan the move.
Monday–Thursday moves start at $119/hr for 2 movers and a truck at the cash rate, and Friday–Sunday moves are $135/hr. A $30 gas fee applies, and the $50 deposit that holds your date is applied toward the total cost. Double Drive Time applies to longer local moves under CPUC rules, while long-distance moves out of state are quoted separately.

Book as early as you can. Weekends and the end of the month fill up first, and long-distance moves need extra time for planning. For an urgent move, call us: same-day crews are often available.
You can choose any convenient day for your relocation, and yes, we can help you move on weekends and holidays.
A safe relocation is our goal, so we’ll provide you with a detailed list of items that are prohibited to transport. It includes perishables, hazardous materials, firearms, batteries, etc. We also don’t recommend packing your personal and irreplaceable items, including family heirlooms, family photos, jewelry, documents, etc. Carry them with you during the move.
We accept cash, all major debit and credit cards, and certified checks. We don’t accept personal checks. There will not apply any transaction fee on card transactions.
Yes, we’ll contact you prior to delivery. We’ll deliver your belongings within the given moving arrival window. In case the window is no longer possible, we’ll also contact you in advance and set another delivery time.
